Washing Dishes in Portofino

20 Mar

Second in my series titled “Washing Dishes in Paradise.” Because, you know, this is how I roll.

Portofino is more of a night-time place for dishwashing. So we do so at midnight, a.k.a. 24-hundred.

Or 00.00, I suppose, if you really want to be fancy.

Full moon, sparkling lights reflecting on the water, greasy pots and pans…what could be more romantic?

Might help me as I look out the window over my marble sink. What on earth does it smell like?

I think it smells like the soft air sparkling with evening stars.
    I love this series.
    It’s deep.

It smells like cheap, crappy perfume. It’s like the Tavernello of dishwashing liquid. Despite all promises to the contrary on its enchanting label. I just love the marketing geniuses who green-lighted this one. I hope there are more in the series. Like…wait for it… the Naples burning garbage version?
